The Future
Nike made a few major announcements in New York yesterday at a glitzy event; however, there was one new innovation that stood out the most. Yes, it is the moment we have all been anticipating, as Nike finally introduced a pair of self-tying sneakers to market, just like in the movie ‘Back To The Future.’
Nike has teased prototypes and versions of the shoe from the movie like the HyperAdapt 1.0 in the past, but the new self-tying shoe is about to become a reality. The sneakers sport “adaptive lacing” technology that automatically adjusts the snugness of the shoe, with no strings attached…literally.
Essentially wearers of the shoe can make quick micro-adjustments, which is much quicker than untying and retying the shoe altogether. Would you buy the new shoe? For more details be sure to check out the video above.
