Tinsley the Shiloh Shepherd brought aid to her owner after a car accident.
On Monday night, New Hampshire police officers received a report about a dog loose on Veteran’s Memorial Bridge on Interstate 89. Nearby officers responded to the call, and discovered the dog in question, a Shiloh Shepherd who seemed visibly distraught. As they attempted to restrain the dog to remove it from the highway, she ran a short distance away before turning back to look at the officers, as though to get their attention.

When the officers followed the dog, they discovered a damaged section of guard rail, at the bottom of which was a totaled pickup truck and two injured, freezing men. As it turns out, the dog, Tinsley, belonged to one of the injured men, New Hampshire local Cam Laundry. The officers immediately called for medical support, and both men were successfully brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
“This was almost like a real-life Lassie situation,” New Hampshire State Police Lieutenant Dan Baldassarre told CNN. “It’s really quite remarkable. This dog definitely saved their lives. I don’t think they would have survived the night given the temperatures.”
Troopers say when they got close to the Shiloh Shepherd named Tinsley, she kept running away and eventually led them to a crash scene where they found a crumpled truck and two victims, who were injured, hypothermic and had been thrown from the truck.https://t.co/mhnOA2G99f

“She’s my guardian angel,” Laundry told CNN affiliate WPTZ. “It’s a miracle that she had that kind of intelligence to do what she did.”
“She’ll get some venison, probably burger, tonight and probably some back scratches with it.”
