A Smart Approach?
Are you thinking about getting divorced? Sleep it off! You can actually get your money back from a Swedish hotel chain if you get divorced after staying there. The goal of the Countryside Hotels Group is for couples to spend time together and work on their relationship.
In order to qualify for this deal, you must be legally married, you must stay in the same room and you have to mention the deal when you are booking the vacation. After your stay in the hotel, the chain will reimburse the cost of a two-night stay if your marriage ends within a year from your vacation.
Additionally, you have to show proof of your divorce with the proper legal papers in order to get the refund. Before you split everything legally in court, at least you can save money somewhere. When asked whether this is a joke, a hotel representative says the “radical approach” is designed make people realize “how beneficial it can be to get away for a while and devote time to each other”.
