Can You Seem Optimistic By Your Appearance

September 13th was honored as Positive Thinking Day, and we should be reminded that thinking positively is something we should do as much as possible. The Huffington Post explains, “Research is beginning to reveal that positive thinking is about much more than just being happy or displaying an upbeat attitude. Positive thoughts can actually create real value in your life and help you build skills that last much longer than a smile.”

Life Is Good recently conducted a survey that analyzed seven qualities of positive thinkers. Life is Good is more than just a clothing company: they spread inspiration and optimism through their brand. Their website puts their standpoint into words, “by acknowledging obstacles and opportunities, but focusing on the opportunities, optimism enables us to explore the world with open arms and an eye toward solutions, progress, and growth.”

Their survey actually found that the most optimistic people are ages 60-69. They are more likely to be positive than 18-29 year olds.

Optimists are also more likely to have pet dogs, college degrees, and exercise weekly. Meditation and hanging out with family and friends are also healthy habits for optimists.

Interestingly, the survey also found that positive people take regular breaks from their device screens.

These behaviors and positive thinking surely go hand in hand.
