The Royal Family Is Excited To Welcome New Baby Boy

Despite rumors of a royal feud between brothers Prince William and Prince Harry, the Duke of Cambridge issued a warm welcome to his new nephew. The Royal Baby was born yesterday to parents Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, who are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family,” the official @kensingtonroyal Instagram account posted on Monday, a few hours after the Royal Baby’s birth.

Harry and Meghan haven’t formally introduced their son to the world yet, and no name has been announced. But Prince Harry told reporters at a press conference on Monday that Meghan will leave the hospital Wednesday, at which point the new prince will make his debut.

“We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz,” Harry and Meghan announced via their Instagram account, @sussexroyal, yesterday. “The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thanks members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.”
