Look Brighter, Feel Better

Exercise, eating healthy, and getting enough sleep are well-known ways to feel and look good. Add face massaging to that list.

You start by lightly tapping your fingertips along your jawline, cheeks, and forehead with both hands. This gets your blood circulating which is makes your skin look healthier and promotes cell growth! Do this for about one minute.

Next, when you begin to massage your face, you’ll want to have a bit of oil or moisturizer so you don’t drag and damage your skin. Using oil on your face can actually be great for your pores! It stops your skin from overproducing oil, making you look shiny or causing blemishes, and helps break down stuff clogging pores.

Instead of buying outrageously expensive and tiny bottles of face serums and creams, get natural oils to use for your face massage that have all kinds of beneficial properties. Jojoba oil is a lighter one that can appear shiny, but is great to use before bed for clear skin in the morning. Rosehip oil is known to regenerate cells, reducing wrinkles and making your skin more buoyant. You can also mix oils with sweet smelling lavender, lemongrass, or eucalyptus oils for aromatherapy.

Now, once you have your emollient, firmly move your fingers in circles around your cheekbones and mouth. Then, lightly sweep your ring fingers around the bottom and top of your eyes, near the bone. This light pressure and rhythmic motion promotes lymphatic drainage which reduces toxins in the body.

Take a few minutes to massage the skin on your face and you’ll notice a difference!
