Alexa Can Now be in Your Vehicle

If you’ve ever used Alexa in your home for your basic tasks, then you’ll be happy to know that Alexa will now be incorporated into your vehicle. Amazon announced that the Alexa Auto Software Development will be released and will include all of Alexa’s functions into cars’ infotainment systems.

Having Alexa with you on the go can mean many things: You can play music and make phone calls hands-free with voice control or navigate directions with voice control. Also, you can control devices from your home while you’re on the road. For example, if you’re driving and you forget to turn off the lights or something, you can command Alexa to turn off your lights.

It’s not quite like the cars out there that already have voice control. The difference is that you can ask for a specific song or a particular genre of music to play, or you could ask how the weather will be like for the day. If I had Alexa as a part of my car, I’d ask it a bunch of silly questions because that’s just me. I’d also use it for lists in case I forget what I want to buy at the grocery store, which happens to me quite often.
