Virginia Roberts Giuffre reveals more about her relationship with Prince Andrew
Prince Andrew has reportedly been shunned by the British royal family after he was accused of abusing underage girls in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking ring. Now, the prince’s accusers are asking the British public to side with them.
Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who says she was trafficked and forced to have sexual contact with Prince Andrew when she was seventeen years old, says Britons need to send the message that “this is not okay.”
“This is not some sordid sex story. This is a story of being trafficked, this is a story of abuse and this is a story of your guys’ royalty,” Giuffre said.
Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire financier who donated millions to powerful politicians, was convicted of sexually abusing minors back in 2007. However, he received an extremely light sentence, and public outcry in the wake of the #MeToo era pushed prosecutors to try Epstein on new charges. Epstein committed suicide in a New York prison after being arrested on sex trafficking charges. He was denied bail.
Several women have named Prince Andrew as a participant in Epstein’s sex ring. Prince Andrew has denied any involvement whatsoever, claiming in various interviews he had never met Giuffre or the other accusers.
However, the British public isn’t buying it. Queen Elizabeth herself reportedly canceled Prince Andrew’s birthday party and relieved him of royal duties after the accusations surfaced.
