The Russian luxury company, Caviar, is known for its collection of tech cases featuring rare elements including gold iPhone cases but they wanted to create a one-of-a-kind gaming console. Caviar unveiled the concept of what could be one of the most expensive gaming consoles in the world.

The luxury edition PS5 will feature a special “Golden Rock” texture to mimic the rocky exterior of authentic gold ore along with crocodile skin covers for the controls. Caviar assembled the luxury gaming console by casting eight sheets of solid gold onto the gaming console and controls with a combined weight of nearly 20 kilos.
This console can be considered a masterpiece of jewelry and the designers were inspired by the natural texture and geometry of gold ore hence the name Golden Rock. Though the standard PS5 console costs approximately $700, Caviar will be marking up the price into the thousands.
Caviar has yet to disclose the price but the current value of 18K gold is nearly $45,000 per kilo with the console containing nearly 20 kilos, the value is nearly worth $900,000 in gold alone. The price is currently unlisted but Caviar provides a customer service number for serious price inquiries.
