John Stamos and Bob Saget are perhaps most famous for their roles on Full House and Fuller House. John and Bob were very close with the great Don Rickles so they came by to pay tribute to him and share some of the very funny and touching moments they had together. Recently John Stamos and Bob Saget were interviewed on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. When asked which of the two was Don’s favorite, they both thought John was.

Bob talked about how John was a classic, handsome, smart and funny actor and that Don respect that. The documentary Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project, is a documentary that covers a great part of Don Rickles career. Rickles was famous for doing roasts of people. However, his style – although brazen, was not mean-spirited. He had a fatherly type relationship with John and Bob. He would give them advice about finding a great woman to marry.

Jokingly, he would call Bob Saget a “Jewish Clark Kent”. One of their favorite things to do with Don was to have dinner together. Sometimes Don’s wife Barbara would join them. She knew every story and was happy to be part of the fun. Among some of his famous audiences were President Ronald Reagan and his wife Nancy. Don was known for telling the same stories over and over. He entertained guests at dinner by regaling them with the stories. He will be missed – being insulted by Don Rickles in a loving way was the highlight for some comics
