Craig McFarland celebrates 17 acceptance letters
A student at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, Craig McFarland, is celebrating a huge achievement of being accepted to all 8 ivy league schools. McFarland worked hard to achieve his 4.98 GPA and never got a single “B” on any of his high school report cards.
McFarland has yet to choose which university to attend and can only take virtual campus tours for now due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The first acceptance letter arrived from Yale and McFarland is planning on studying law or medicine.
His mother couldn’t be any prouder of her son as she was a single mom that was dedicated to making her son’s education priority. McFarland is graduating as valedictorian of his class and hopefully can attend his graduation scheduled for July.

McFarland received a total of 17 acceptance letters from top colleges and universities including Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University. He was also offered several full scholarships for schools including Florida University and Florida State University.
He’s narrowed down his list to his top four schools including Yale, Harvard, Stanford University, and Florida State University. McFarland is deciding between studying biochemistry and linguistics, perhaps working with Doctors Without Borders.
