After ex-couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore were seen exiting the same flight in Los Angeles, rumors have been going crazy about them being back together again. However, there is a story behind the little incident pictured by the paparazzi.
Reunited…for a Cause
The 35-year-old Two and a Half Men actor and the 50-year-old Margin Call actress were seen strolling cordially out of the airport after getting off the same flight. But, their reunion was for a cause – both came from the tech conference, We Are Thorn. The said conference was held in San Jose, California.
One source had revealed Demi, who was casually dressed in a beige jacket and leggings and was sporting reading glasses, did not want to walk with her ex-husband, who was also looking laid-back in cardigan sweaters with a baseball cap, because of the possibility that they were going to be photographed together but Ashton convinced her otherwise.
“Demi did not want to be photographed together, but Ashton convinced her to walk with him.” “Demi did not want to be photographed together, but Ashton convinced her to walk with him,” the source confirmed.
Nevertheless, both looked amicably relaxed as they walked side by side and Ashton had even said his goodbyes to his former wife when they went their separate ways. Does this mean they are over their bitter past?
Divorce Battles
Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher married way back in 2005 but had bitterly separated after six years brought about by the actor’s affair with another woman. It had been a harsh divorce battle between the two ever since.
Ashton had filed the papers last December and Demi countered with a filed response March of this year. She asked spousal support from Kutcher as well as attorney fees in her response. However, her attorney had made it clear her move was “standard practice.”
Nevertheless, in light of this current development between them, the fact that they were able to talk to each other without any claws spitting out may mean their long-smoldering battle is also coming to an end and if it is, it is ending rather exceptionally well.
Currently, the actor has been seriously dating actress Mila Kunis whom he had worked before in That ‘70s Show. There are even rumors that the two are engaged when Kunis was seen sporting a ring on her wedding finger in Los Angeles but both have kept mum about it.
We Are Thorn
The tech organization Demi and Ashton attended was previously nicknamed Demi and Ashton Foundation, indicating that both stars have been involved with the said organization even before their split.
It was put up in 2009 with the goal to use technology to “effect positive changes in the world.” As Thorn’s site revealed, “disrupting and deflating the predatory behavior of those who abuse and traffic children, solicit sex with children, or create and share child pornography” is the prime focus of the company.
Ashton had also tweeted about the said event Monday expressing his thanks for the organization’s hard work in its chosen field.
