Brad Pitt brought his good-looking self at Toronto’s International Film Festival red carpet walk. However, his other half of the Brangelina tandem is not with him that night.

The Hollywood A-Lister was among the throngs of celebrities present at the film festival who brought their movies with them for some advanced Oscar buzz. And the actor’s new movie was one of the productions that caught attendees’ attentions.

Fashion, Fashion

Of course, TIFF’s red carpet may not be as huge and pompous as that of the Oscars but still, with international paparazzi loitered all around, celebrities still glam up to look and project their best.

The 49-year-old actor looked dashing in the formal aura he exuded as he walked that way that night. With his signature smirk, Brad Pitt had donned on well-fitted black suit with a white collared shirt underneath – the look very much in line with this year’s fall look. He also had the beard he was sporting for quite some time now removed and comparing the “before” and “after” pictures, the “after” did look much better and fitted to his personality and charms.

New Movie’s a Big Bang!

Nevertheless, as much as the press wanted to feast upon who are the best and worst dressers of the TIFF night, the night’s main attraction lies on the lined-up movies. Critics have rained accolades on Brad Pitt’s new movie, 12 Years a Slave.

Recently, a number of celebrity news portals have hailed the said biopic as one of the top contenders in all the categories of Oscars, next to Sandra Bullock-George Clooney movie, Gravity.

A biopic about a free black man residing in the North only to be abducted and sold as a slave in the South, many have hailed 12 Years a Slave as one of the greatest movies of the year and has a great shot at making it to the Oscars – in all the categories.

Joyful Brad

Even the actor expressed joy over this recent project. Brad Pitt had played a supporting role in the film – that of a Canadian carpenter who gets to have some time spent with the main character – and he is also one of the movie’s producers.

After learning about the rave reviews the movie was getting right after its TIFF September 6 premiere, Brad had inferred he had just reached the pinnacle of his career through it.

“I just have to say, if I never get to participate in a film again, this is it for me. It was a privilege,” he stated in the press conference right after the film was shown.

But even if he is confident the biopic will go a long way in the upcoming 2014 Oscars, he humbly attributed its success to everyone who worked on it including his co-stars in the film. He believed the actors were so compelling, making the movie so realistic it was moving.

“The film has its difficult moments and surely details man’s inhumanity and capability to hurt others,” he stated. But he added that the story was effective in reminding us of our responsibility to each other.
