Netflix is offering mobile games themed after its properties.
While Netflix already occupies a large portion of its subscribers’ attention with its catalog of bingeable shows and movies, there are always more markets to appeal to. This is why, since August, Netflix has been testing its very own mobile gaming app in Poland, Italy, and Spain, piggybacking off of the regular Netflix mobile app. Earlier this week, Netflix Games exited its experimental period, and is now available for use in all served territories, albeit only on Android devices for the moment.
🎮📱 Let the Games Begin📱🎮
Tomorrow, Netflix Games will start rolling out on the Netflix mobile app. First on Android, with iOS on the way.

“Whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone,” Netflix said in a statement.

The app’s initial library includes several simple games, as well as two previously-released licensed games based on the Netflix series Stranger Things. All of these games, as well as whatever games come later, are free to play for all Netflix subscribers with no ads or in-app purchases.
The feature is intended to be made available on iOS devices at some point in the future, though Netflix has not given an estimate as to precisely when.
