I’m OK!
Some status updates are more important than others. With that in mind, Facebook on Wednesday announced Safety Check, a new feature that lets friends and family know you’re safe after a natural disaster has occurred.

When the event takes place in your area, Facebook will send you a message asking if you’re ok! How cool!
If you’re ok, you can select a message saying I’m safe. This will alert your friends on Facebook that you are safe from harm. Facebook is hoping to make a major breakthrough in tough times when people need these answers the most!
