A one-on-one with Corey Stoll
House of Cards was only supposed to be two seasons? Say it isn’t so! That is was David Fincher told Corey Stoll, known for his role as U.S. Representative Peter Russo, during his audition. Luckily the show gained a massive amount of success and simply having two seasons of the show was no longer an option.
Stoll stopped by Huffington Post Live to chat about his role on the show during the first season and what he thinks his character would be doing if – (season 1 spoiler) – he wasn’t killed by Frank Underwood. He is actually somewhat relieved that his character was killed off so early because in that short amount of time he was able to have such a complex and rich storyline that he otherwise probably wouldn’t have gotten if his character’s timeline was stretched out even more.
And Stoll answered the question that everyone was secretly thinking – does he still watch the show after being killed off? The answer is yes! He is still a huge fan of the show and loves being surprised by all the twists and turns like the rest of us.
Are you counting down the days until season 4? Sadly we have to wait until 2016, but creator Michael Dobbs promises that fans can expect even more wickedness from Frank in the upcoming episodes.
