She loves her first-born so much

Actress and comedian Amy Schumer don’t come across as a woman who scares easily. She’s been known to post everything from her huge baby bump to photos of her post-baby bikini body on Instagram. But the new mom confessed she did have one fear: returning to work after the birth of her son, Gene, five months ago.

“5 months today and like all moms, I love him so much it hurts. I’m feeling strong and good and like I’m still a human being with interests and ambitions and goals I’m excited to reach. It’s felt good to be back at work,” Schumer wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of her holding Gene.

But returning to the daily grind wasn’t easy, Schumer said.

“I was so worried about it and was afraid to go back after he was 3 months old. A couple days I’ve cried from missing him. But it’s mostly good to be back and the breaks energize me to be a better mom and appreciate our time even more. I have it a lot easier than many people but I wanted to share my experience,” Schumer wrote.

In the comments, Schumer’s fans shared their own back-to-work experience after having a baby, and thanked her for always staying candid. Even some fellow celebrities commented on the post.

“It’s hard, being a working mom. But I believe that we are better mom’s when we are able to do what fulfills us. One hour at a time, Amy,” actress Debra Messing, the star of “Will & Grace,” wrote.
