Tech Throwback
Alright everyone this has to be the most epic throwback yet! How many of you remember ‘Dingbot’ based on the lovable 1982 film character E.T. Initially produced for a television commercial in Japan?
The battery-operated toy is a great when it comes to getting communication across producing little alien noises of excitement as he shakes his head, smiling as he moves swiftly changing directions when he comes in contact with large items. He’s a cute little robot who is learning the meaning of walls I guess you could say.
Now it’s not much of a robot people in the 80’s and 90’s thought this toy was awesome….even though it literally only bumps into objects, spins in circles and beeps…The craziest thing is that people actually thought robots would look like this!
