Recap Of The 2018 Consumer Electronics Show
The 2018 Consumer Electronics Show, or CES, reveals the latest and greatest technology and gadgets hitting the shelves. CES is the world’s gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It is the global stage, and testing ground of sorts, for new and popular gadgets and innovations.
Of course, larger companies are always prevalent at the CES, but smaller startups use the event as a platform to hopefully gain some momentum. This year, the show was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, and saw the likes of a clothes folding machine and a 3D avatar photo booth, to name a couple. Here are a couple of the cool gadgets you may want to check out:
Kuri the home robot: This cute little gal drives around your home. Mike Beebe, CEO of Mayfield Robotics says his favorite feature of hers is that when she spots a “moment” happening in the home, she will take a quick video and capture it. You can then see it via the app. “We like to say she adds a spark of life to your home,” says Beebe.
3D Photo Booth: This innovative photo booth combines our society’s love for selfies with our love for 3D printers…you end up with a digital double of yourself! This bad boy only takes one second to get 400 pictures taken at the same time, then the software generates your avatar within an application, and that whole process takes around six minutes! Six minutes to clone myself, I’ll take one!
