Evidence against Antonio Brown isn’t looking good for the NFL player
NFL player Antonio Brown, who recently left the Oakland Raiders to join the New England Patriots, is being sued by his former trainer for sexual assault. The trainer, Britney Taylor, says Brown assaulted her three times between 2017 and 2018. Her lawsuit includes damning texts from Brown in which he uses foul, misogynistic language and admits to abusive behavior.
In the texts, Brown repeatedly calls Taylor the “b-word” and admits to engaging in non-consensual acts while she was asleep. He also says, “I been all pro before I even knew [you].”
Brown says the relationship was consensual and is counter-suing Taylor for extortion. He says Taylor wanted him to invest over a million dollars in a business project, which he refused to contribute.
But Taylor is standing by her accusations, saying Brown used his status as a professional athlete to exploit her. She says he perpetrated three escalating attacks over the course of their business relationship.
“Brown preyed on Ms. Taylor’s kindness and her religious devotion, casting himself as a person equally dedicated to his religious faith and someone she could trust… In reality, he used manipulation and false promises to lure her into his world, and once there, he sexually assaulted and raped her,” Taylor’s lawsuit reads.
