Caffeinated Kicks

When you think of purchasing a new pair of running shoes, a lot of factors come into play. Price, brand, overall feel, fit, durability, and the list could go on and on. But, have you ever thought of donuts? Dunkin’ Donuts and Saucony have teamed up to create the ultimate kicks…..donut kicks. These awesome sneakers are all white, complete with a strawberry donut and yellow sprinkles all over the sides of the shoes. The box they come in also resembles a Dunkin’ Donuts box! What more could you ask for in a running shoe?

You’re probably wondering why the heck Dunkin’ Donuts decided to partner with a shoe company like Saucony. Well, it’s all for a good cause. The two merged business to create the ultimate limited edition sneaker in preparation for the Boston Marathon, come April 16th. Each year, Saucony collaborates with a brand to create a shoe for the Boston Marathon. This year, the lucky winner was Dunkin’ Donuts. It’s not a surprise that the famous coffee and donut company was chosen, as coffee is the number one mentioned food and drink item (according to exercise app Strava), and donuts are sixth. The Boston-based company is the latest to grace the outside of a Saucony, and if you’re in Boston for the marathon this year, make sure to be on the lookout for these tasty looking kicks!
