Getting Ready For The NFL Preseason

The NFL preseason is fully underway, and the NFL Network wants to be sure you don’t miss a game.

Between its live telecasts and its presentation of recorded games, it will show all 65 of the preseason meetings over the ensuing weeks.

This creates some serious heiner-in-the-recliner time. Beginning on Friday night, when the Pittsburgh Steelers meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That’s at 7:30 p.m. ET on NFLN. Broadcasts on NFLN may be blacked out in-home locations, so please check your local listings.

Saturday’s offering is the Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers. Same network, 9 p.m. start. Four recorded games are also available before that exhibition, beginning at 8 a.m. with the Tennessee Titans-Philadelphia Eagles. Six more reruns are available on Sunday.

If you are interested in games that count in the league standings, the CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks (3-4) meet the Edmonton Eskimos (4-3), who are undefeated at home (3-0). ESPN2 shows this on Friday night at 10 p.m.

Golf? The final two rounds of the Northern Trust, the tournament that opens the FedEx Cup playoffs, can be seen Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. on CBS. This event cuts the field for the championship to 70.

For a baseball respite, catch the Los Angeles Angels at Boston Red Sox on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. on TBS. It is always fun to watch the Angels’ Mike Trout.

Set that DVR. Don’t miss a thing. See it all. It beats cutting the grass.
