The Big Announcement
The first releases of the Prince vault have been announced. Warner Brothers announced that they will be releasing the first music from Prince’s collection since his death in April, despite an ongoing legal battle over his estate.

The upcoming compilation may include thousands of unreleased songs from the pop legend! First to debut on November 22 is Prince4Ever, a 40-track album featuring “1999”, “When Doves Cry”, “U Got the Look”, “Diamonds and Pearls”, “Nothing Compares 2 U”, and a previously unreleased track, “Moonbeam Levels”. 2017 will see a deluxe, remastered addition of Purple Rain, including a disc of previously unreleased material. According to this, plans for a release “were agreed with Prince before he passed away.” This could be some of Prince’s best material yet as he told Rolling Stone in 2014, “I’ve never said this before, but I didn’t always give the record companies the best song.”
However, some of his songs might remain a mystery forever, as Prince had vaulted lots of music that only he had the password for. Prince will follow in the footsteps of Tupac, Michael Jackson and Johnny Cash, having some of his music released after his passing.
