Drum Roll Please

American Idol’s reboot season came to a close last night. The top three finalists Gabby Barrett, Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Maddie Poppe were joined by fellow contestants from the season for a jam-packed night of performances. Judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Katy Perry even took to the stage to sing alongside some of these contestants.

Barrett was the first to be eliminated, leaving Poppe and Hutchinson (who just so happen to be dating) as the last two standing. As the tabulations would have it, Maddie Poppe was named the new American Idol. Along with the title, she earned herself a recording contract with Hollywood Records and the opportunity to perform at the Radio Disney Music Awards as well as the Hollywood Bowl.
