New Royal Instagram Accounts Break World-Records
When we say that the new joint account of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle broke Instagram, we mean that they’re breaking Instagram world-records. The new Instagram account @sussexroyal already has 3.9 million followers only after a couple of days since creating the new account.
Their account gained one million followers after only 6 hours of activation, despite the page only has 2 photos on the account. The previous record-holder was K-pop star Kang Daniel, who achieved one million followers 11 hours and 36 minutes after opening the account.
Since the activation on Tuesday, there are now 5 photos on their account, but many followers have anticipated the arrival of the first child by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. As of this week, Markle is 38 weeks pregnant and the baby is due at any moment.

The Duke and Duchess married in May of last year and they announced the pregnancy five months later in October. The best prediction is that the baby is due to arrive in late April or early May.
Though the baby is on the way, the world is so excited that #globalsussexbabyshower is trending with millions of people around the world sending their well-wishes for the arrival of their firstborn. The @sussexroyal Instagram posted today to express their appreciation and excitement for the arrival of their first child and request that people who want to send gifts should donate to organizations on Instagram including @thelunchboxfund, @littlevillagehq, @wellchild, and @baby2baby.
All these organizations are strongly supported by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with all organizations benefitting children. The new Instagram account is acting as a platform to promote charitable organizations including @africanparksnetwork, that continues to advocate for the communities and wildlife in vulnerable environments around the world.
