Taking A Stand
Sienna Miller is the latest star to step forward and reveal their issues with the gender pay gap. The actresses opened up to Vogue Magazine about a Broadway role she backed out on after learning she would be paid less than her male co-star.
The worse thing being that it was a two-person show, yet she was being offered less than half of what the male lead would be paid. Her thoughts were that is it was two men it probably wouldn’t have happened.
She is taking a stand and is looking to take the matter further. She said not taking the role was a small step in showing them that it is a problem. She is sure that they will fill the role but hope people get the message.
