Regardless Of The Fact I Look Like I Lost A Fight, Inside I’m Winning In A Way

On February 14, 2018, a devastating and fatal school shooting occurred in Broward Country, Florida. An active shooter entered the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, and claimed the lives of 17 people and victimized many others. Samantha Fuentes, one of the survivors of the attack, has sustained some injuries in the shooting. She tweeted a picture to her supporters on Saturday, with a hospital bandage stretching from ear to mouth, and a victorious smile to accompany it.

The Parkland shooting survivor thanked her supporters and shared that her face is finally shrapnel free. Although she states that she has been struggling to love her face again, she is in high spirits as she joked, ” I know my face looks like I lost a fight, but inside it’s winning.”
