Is there anything better than these live-action Disney classics?

Disney lovers have a list of live-action remakes to look forward to, as special as the remake of “The Jungle Book” and “Beauty and the Beast.” Disney is preparing to release Aladdin with actors Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott as Aladdin and Princess Jasmine.

The powerful genie will be played by Will Smith and is not expected to hide any of his flare. Robin Williams’ beloved portrayal of the genie in 1992 is hard act to follow. The Hollywood Reporter explained, “while the cast has assured the public that the film certainly won’t replace Robin Williams in any way, Smith will put his own spin on the wish-granter.”

There are some other details reported to be changing in the live-action remake. The highly esteemed Disney composer Alan Menken and the songwriters of “La La Land” Pasek & Paul will be writing two new songs for the film. One will be a duet for Jasmine and Aladdin and another is just for the princess. Viewers can expect more of the mesmerizing sights, sounds, and magic that Disney brings to life.

The movie will show in theaters in the United States and United Kingdom on May 24, 2019.
