Jeanine Pirro is not keeping quite about her suspension from Fox
Fox News host Jeanine Pirro has been off the air since the spring when she questioned whether Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota) is loyal to the United States because she wears a hijab. Fox News has never confirmed they suspended Pirro–but she was caught on a hot mic bashing the network and saying they were working on firing her.
Pirro told Sebastian Gorka, a former Trump official, and radio host, that Fox News “reviews everything” and is “unbelievable.” She then confirmed she’d been suspended by the network.
“You know what, they suspended me. And I’m not going to get fired. You know? I’m worried that that suspension was the basis to tee up for anything I do wrong, they’ll fire me,” Pirro said. “You know Fox reviews everything. They’re unbelievable.”
Fox News condemned Pirro’s remarks about Omar, which were widely seen as anti-Muslim.
“Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Shariah law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?” Pirro asked on the air.
However, Pirro has an ally in President Trump, who penned tweets defending Pirro and urging the network to bring her back. He called Pirro’s suspension part of a “fake news media” crusade to silence conservatives.
