Facebook Is The Latest Company To Dabble With Cryptocurrency
Facebook continues to take over the industry, as if the company hasn’t done enough to change the face of technology and social media. After an announcement Tuesday by Facebook’s head of Messenger, David Marcus, it’s looking like the tech giant will be creating its own cryptocurrency. It appears CEO Mark Zuckerberg has yet to let the Cambridge Analytica scandal stop him, and in fact, it appears to have lit a fire under him. Facebook has been releasing plenty of new features as of late, including a dating app, Watch Party and now, blockchain technology. Marcus’ announcement came via a Facebook post, which is very fitting. He announced he will be leaving his role to explore the use of blockchain technology within the company.
