It’s (Almost) Time
This year will be the 85th year of the infamous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. If you have ever been in New York during the holidays, or seen basically any Christmas/holiday romantic comedy, then you already know. From the lights to the star on top, this tree is the ultimate production. But how much do you really know about the magnificent spruce?
Here are a few fun facts to get you in the Christmas spirit!
Did you know…typically, the chosen tree each year is around 75 feet tall. Though, in 1999, the tree was a record 100 feet tall.
Did you know…an aerial helicopter search is conducted every year to find the perfect 7-story spruce.
Did you know….the start that has graced the top of the tree since 2004 is Swarovski crystals and weights a whopping 550 pounds.
