Tech News Update
I think the reason that technology progresses so quickly these days is that innovators have gotten better at linking problems with solutions. Not always big problems like world hunger (though we’re working on that), but little problems; the foibles and hazards of daily life that can be remedied with a bit of out-of-the-box thinking. For example, do you use your phone as a navigation device a lot? Not all cars have a good place to put a phone where it’s still in your peripheral vision, so you sometimes have to look away from the road to check directions. A problem, but an easy problem to fix.
One solution is the Hudway Cast. This neat little device features a special mount for your phone and, more interestingly, a little projector that goes beneath your windshield. Through a special app, the Hudway Cast broadcasts your phone’s screen to the projector, allowing you to see maps and directions in your peripheral vision without having to look away from the road. It also features a handy interface for managing bluetooth calls and music, which is always welcome. The Hudway Cast is an impressive, high-tech solution to a simple problem. And as is typically the case in life, when you find one answer, you get insight into five more.
