2015 SAG Awards Winner’s Recap

This Sunday were the Screen Actors Guild Awards which celebrated the many outstanding performances given by actors in both TV and film this past year. So who won the statues this year?

Right out the gate Uzo Aduba from ‘Orange is the New Black’ was surprised to find out that she won for Actress in a Comedy beating out such comedy veterans like Amy Poehler and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. ‘Orange is the New Black’ also won Best Ensemble in a Comedy.

And yes, if you are like me you are still debating whether or not ‘Orange’ belongs in the Drama category and not Comedy but whatever – they still won and the show is amazing.

Other winners include Julianne Moore and Eddy Redmayne who at this point should just be given their Oscars now. The cast of ‘Birdman’ took home the grand prize of Best Cast which won against the critically acclaimed ‘Boyhood’.

This last push before the Oscars is proving that ‘Birdman’ has a shot to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards. I guess we’ll see!
