An Emotional Performance
Jennifer Lopez broke down in tears on “American Idol” on Thursday night after a moving performance by a contestant who overcame domestic abuse. Before La’Porsha Renae sang Mary J. Blige’s “No More Drama,” she opened up about an abusive relationship. She sobbed as she finished the song. Lopez also fought back tears. “It takes a lot of strength to overcome those things in your life, baby,” she told Renae. “I know. Everybody knows. We’ve all been through stuff like that.
