      The Washington Redskins will change team logo and name

      After many controversies and requests for a team name change, the Washington Redskins have finally decided to retire the controversial name and logo. The NFL team released an official statement for the name and logo change after weeks of reviewing this big change.

      The Redskins started a review process for the name and logo change starting July 3 and they’ve announced the final decision for the review of being in favor of the change. Coach Rivera and Dan Snyder are working closely together to approach the new logo design and a name change that will celebrate the tradition and history of the NFL team for the next 100 years.

      The new name and logo have yet to be decided but the NFL and football fans are excited about looking forward to the future of this team with a long lineage and community. The Redskins have yet to set a date for the new name and logo announcement but the sporting community is looking forward to the future of this team.
