Film actor Chris Hemsworth and Cheryl Boone, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President, announced the list of nominees. The Oscars ceremony will be hosted by funny lady Ellen DeGeneres on March 2nd.

Of course coming right off of the Golden Globes we can expect a few obvious nominations. “12 Years a Slave”, “Gravity”, “American Hustle” and “Captain Phillips” will all be in contention for the best picture award. While the best actor category is filled with familiar names like Leo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
