Trump insults Rep. Pelosi
President Trump had a few choice words for Nancy Pelosi after the Speaker of the House said she’d like to see Trump “in prison” rather than impeached.
“I actually don’t think she’s a talented person,” Trump said in a Fox News interview. “I’ve tried to be nice to her because I would’ve liked to have gotten some deals done. She’s incapable of doing deals…She’s a nasty, vindictive, horrible person.”
Pelosi is far from the only person Trump has called “nasty.” During the 2016 election, he famously shook his head while Hillary Clinton was speaking during a debate and said, “such a nasty gal.” He allegedly called Meghan Markle, the American-born Duchess of Sussex, “nasty” after Markle called Trump a misogynist and vowed to move to Canada if he won the 2016 election.
Trump denied making the comment about Markle.
Democrats have ramped up calls for impeachment after Special Counsel Robert Mueller gave a press conference last week, clarifying that his report “did not exonerate” Trump of any crimes. Several Democrats, including presidential candidate and California Senator Kamala Harris, called Mueller’s remarks a clear referral for impeachment.
As of Friday morning, Pelosi appeared to be ignoring Trump’s comments, focusing instead on a trip to Normandy Beach in France to commemorate D-Day.
