More details surface after the mysterious death
Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, accused of abusing dozens of teen girls in the early 2000s, apparently committed suicide in his New York jail cell over the weekend. However, his death has spawned a fresh round of conspiracy theories, as well as speculation about how he managed to commit suicide when he was supposed to be on round-the-clock suicide watch.
Epstein was known to socialize with powerful people, including Bill and Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, and Britain’s Price Andrew. The Clintons and Trump have disavowed Epstein and say they haven’t socialized with him in many years, and were unaware of his sex trafficking rings involving underage girls. But naturally, rumors have swirled that Epstein had “dirt” on powerful people, and that he was possibly murdered to keep him quiet.
An investigation has revealed that Epstein, who was supposed to be on suicide watch, hadn’t been checked in four hours leading up to his death. Attorney General William Barr has ordered the FBI to complete a thorough investigation into Epstein’s apparent suicide.
Epstein’s victims, who were teenagers at the time they were reportedly abused by the billionaire, say they will keep fighting to get justice, even after Epstein’s death. They asked a judge to freeze all of Epstein’s assets until civil lawsuits against his estate are completed.
