Kim Kardashian and Kanye’s Marriage Can’t be Salvaged

Despite Kanye’s pleas, Kim isn’t interested in reconciling.

Last week, rapper and celebrity Kanye West, also known as “Ye,” used the “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert as an opportunity to plead with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, to take him back. “I need you to run right back to me. More specifically, Kimberly,” he sang.

Unfortunately for Ye, Kim is no longer interested in being in a relationship with him. According to documents filed by Kardashian’s lawyer and obtained by E! News, Kardashian “has no desire to reconcile” with her former husband.

“Irreconcilable differences have led to the irremediable breakdown of the marriage, and there is no possibility of saving the marriage through counseling or other means,” the documents read. “The continued maintenance of technical marital status between [Kim] and [Ye] serves no useful purpose, and there is no reason to maintain the legal relationship.”

Kim has apparently been trying to finalize the divorce proceedings between the two of them for a while now, but the process has been impeded due to Ye’s lawyers being “non-responsive” to her attempts to “move this case forward to a speedy and amicable resolution.” For this reason, Kim has petitioned the court handling her case to declare her legally single whether Ye’s side signs on or not, and that she’s willing to agree to whatever conditions are required to make that happen.
