The accident left Leno with multiple broken bones.

Back in November, comedian and television personality Jay Leno was badly burned while working on a vintage car, suffering burns to his hands, chest, and face. He was hospitalized for several weeks before returning to work, still in good spirits. However, it seems Leno has suffered another grievous (and surprisingly vehicular) injury.

Last week, Leno was injured again while riding a vintage motorcycle, crashing and breaking several bones. Specifically, he suffered a broken collarbone, two broken ribs and two cracked kneecaps.

According to an explanation Leno gave to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, he had been taking the motorcycle for a test drive when he noticed the distinctive smell of a gas leak and attempted to pull over to inspect it.

“So I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it,” Leno said. “So, you know, I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just clothesline, me and, boom, knocked me off the bike.”

“The bike kept going, and you know how that works out,” he said.

“But I’m OK!” Leno assured. “I’m OK, I’m working. I’m working this weekend.”
