broncosprevialThis year, the AFC West happens to have two of the best teams in the league. And Sunday, the two teams faced off again for control of their division, and a better place in the AFC. In the  end, the Denver Broncos were able to beat the Kansas City Chiefs once again, stay on top of  the AFC West, and stay on top of the AFC.

These teams previously played each other just two weeks ago. In that game, the Broncos gave the Chiefs their first loss of the season. Now, they’ve been able to reestablish their dominance. Any doubts about Peyton Manning’s current abilities should be squashed, as he threw 5 touchdowns, with 403 passing yards. For 4 of those 5 touchdowns, WR Eric Decker was the recipient. So, needless to say Decker had a spectacular game as well. Decker ended with 8 receptions and a career high of 174 receiving yards. At one point, the Chiefs had a 21-7 lead.

But by the early minutes of the 4th quarter, Kansas City found themselves down 21-35 after a phenomenal 28 point run by the Broncos. The Chiefs were able to score one more time, but couldn’t manage to connect for one last TD in the final minutes of the game. Chiefs QB Alex Smith ended with 293 yards 2 TDs, and one interception. They dropped to a 9-3 record, and are now on a 3 game losing streak. The Denver Broncos now have a 10-2 record, now with the best record in the league.
