At 19, Justin Bieber has had an incredible life in the limelight, and along with it several controversies and legal issues, too.

The Canadian pop star has a massive fan following all over the world, with his Twitter account being the second most followed behind only Katy Perry. As someone who finds a new follower on Twitter almost every two seconds, Bieber has not been free from controversies at any point of his career, remaining in news all the time.

However, when he arrived in Mexico City on Monday ahead of his concert, the kind of reception he received in front of his hotel from Mexican “Beliebers” must have certainly made him feel wanted.

For a change, it was his fans who came in large numbers to enthrall him, and in the process, reaffirmed their unflinching loyalty to the singer, who has faced several problems during his Latin American tour.

Devoted Fans

“It’s all like a perfection. He’s perfect, his smile…. everything…” reacted a girl, who couldn’t believe that she’s there to catch a glimpse of her favorite star.

Another fan remarked: “I love him. I wasn’t a fan from the very beginning… but I’m going to be with him until the end.”

And such reactions from his ardent fans – mostly teenagers – must definitely comfort him at a time when he’s finding it hard to relieve himself of the series of controversies and legal tangles that chase him wherever he went.

So when Bieber gets ready to perform the musical extravaganza in the Mexican Capital, he can be hopeful of finding an overwhelming “Belibers” crowd that will throw its lot behind him, notwithstanding the series of debates and disputes.

Issues with Press

Beginning from March 2011 till as recently as May 2013, Bieber has been finding himself in the midst of contentious issues.

After the obscene gesture that he made at a photographer during his 17th birthday event was captured on camera in March 2011, the music icon came out with an apology on Twitter. But then, Bieber was again photographed in November 2012 making a similar gesture to some other photographers.

Bieber was booked for breaking the speed limit Ventura Freeway in July 2012. While the charge was that he was moving at a speed of more than 100 miles per hour against the permitted 65 mph, the singer claimed that he did so to escape from a photographers’ group that followed him.

Chris Guerra, a paparazzi, lost his life in January 2013 after he reportedly tried to cross the road and follow Bieber’s car on foot to take a snap. Although it was Bieber’s car, he was not in the vehicle in the incident took place.

Bieber’s troubles with photographers restarted once again in March 2013 when he and a cameraman were involved in a tiff in London. While the press were explosive, Bieber merely said that he was running a “rough week.” It was during that time he reportedly fainted on stage and also became behind schedule for a show at the O2 Arena.

Tough Year

As if these controversies were not enough, Bieber opened a Pandora’s Box in April 2013 when he paid a visit to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. His remarks in the Museum guest book that Anne would hopefully have been a belieber stirred a hornet’s nest, and the media took the pop star to task. However, with the Museum coming to Bieber’s rescue, the matter did not precipitate further.

Last but not the least, Devin ‘the Dude’ Copeland has filed a suit against the singer and Usher leveling charges of copyright infringement, and demanding damages to the tune of $10 million.

With so many controversies surrounding him, the kind of greetings that he received from his “Belibers” just before the start of the musical concert in Mexico City must have certainly made the pop singer heave a huge sigh of relief!
