Shots Ring Out At Chris Brown Show!
Five people were hurt during a packed Chris Brown show at a San Jose nightclub early Sunday morning.
According to the San Jose Mercury News, the shootings took place around 1 a.m. inside the Fiesta Club. The shooting caused the crowd to panic, many of them crowding club exits and ducking for protection.
Four of the five gunshot wound victims were taken to a local hospital with the fifth shooting victim walking into a hospital later on. All victims were expected to survive their wounds. Brown was not injured in the incident. According to police, several people were detained after the shooting but they did not release any further details.
Fiesta nightclub bartender Edgar Jimenez said people were screaming, running and pushing. He ducked under the nightclub’s bar because he was scared.
Brown, who has more than 13 million Twitter followers, tweeted that he was 100 percent okay. An official online Chris Brown forum had been closed temporarily, with a note that fans should check back later on.
Brown, who was in attendance of a ticketed birthday for an unknown person, did post a response on the Mercury News website, saying that even though he was there, it doesn’t mean he was the target of the shooting. One female attendee, who didn’t want to be named, said the shooting occurred when Brown started the third verse of a song.
The ticketed party was moved from the San Jose Rockbar Theater to the Fiesta Club to handle the larger than anticipated crowd.
Some people who were in attendance at the party captured the mayhem on video and audio, which were later posted to social media. In the different videos, Brown can be seen performing when the shots ring out and the confusion of the people inside the club ensues.
