Julia Reveals Why She Was Afraid of Letterman
Julia Roberts recently stopped by ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ for her 26th and final time and opened up to the talk show legend about originally being extremely nervous about her debut on the show.
Roberts was on one of her first press tours at the beginning of her career promoting ‘Mystic Pizza’ and recalled being terrified of Dave because she thought he was going to rip her to shreds like he had done to previous actresses.
But c’mon, how could you rip America’s sweetheart to shreds?
Sure enough – he didn’t, and even gushed to Julia about really enjoying the film at the time. Fast forward 26 appearances later and the two have certainly cozied up to each other since their first chat. She quickly became a fan favorite of the talk show and created a deep and often flirtatious friendship with Letterman.
We will certainly miss their friendship and especially miss watching Dave every night on our television screens.
Fingers crossed for some sort of talk show spinoff centered just around David Letterman and Julia Roberts. Hey – a person can dream!
