Get Ready For Tons of TV Drama Next Season!!

You’re not going to be laughing a lot when it comes to new tv shows next season. That’s right! That’s because the majority of the new shows picked up by the networks are dramas.

Let’s start with NBC besides its returning comedy “Undateable” the only other laugh out loud show hitting television screens this fall is the sitcom “People Are Talking” which is about two sets of couples, and that’s it! Everything else is picked up by the peacock is a drama and were kind of not mad about it.

These NBC dramas include:

  • Heroes Reborn
  • Blindspot

However, CBS has the same trick up their sleeve and will also be featuring a host of dramas just like their competing friends NBC.

Some of the CBS shows include:

  • Criminal Minds Spinoff
  • Rush Hour
  • Limitless

It’s also officially getting into the comic book games with its pick up of “SuperGirl” which is produced by the same guy as “The Arrow” on the CW. But wait, don’t forget about Fox! They are also having their fair share of new shows. They are donning their superhero cape of “Lucifer” which is based on DC’s vertigo comic series and its list of dramas just keeps expanding.

The Fox drama-machine is churning out:

  • Sleepy Hollow
  • Gotham
  • Minority Report

However, out of all of these networks ABC picked up the most dramas. They will be hosting 6 new drama filled shows that we can’t wait to check out. A writer for Variety is very skeptical about how well the new comedies will do in the fall pointing out that “ABC has the high-class problem of having strong returning series for its Wednesday block.” The good thing is ABCs Wednesday night line up was renewed so no need to panic!

So despite all the drama believe it or not comedy does really well in the ratings which is why the Wednesday night line up is sticking around. But when it comes to total viewership dramas win straight out with no questions asked.
