Cardi B Is On Team Bernie For 2020 Election

Although they might seem like an odd pair, 26-year-old rapper Cardi B has been vocal about her support for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. In fact, the two just teamed up for a campaign video aimed at young voters.

In the video, which has not been released yet, Sanders and Cardi B talk about climate change, student debt, the minimum wage, and other issues facing young people. They filmed the video at a nail salon owned by two African-American women.

After shooting the video, Cardi B thanked Sanders on Instagram.

“Thank you Senator Bernie Sanders for sitting with me and sharing your plans on how you will change this country,” Cardi B wrote. “A couple of weeks ago I asked my followers if you had the opportunity to have a question answered by a democratic candidate what would it be ? I got a lot of submission and selected the most popular questions to get answered. Stay tuned to see how he will fight for economic, racial, and social justice for all. Together, let’s build a movement of young people to transform this country. LETS LEARN OUR CANDIDATES!”

Sanders, who is in his 70s, has nonetheless gained a devoted following of young people who describe themselves as “Feeling the Bern.” Sanders’ plans for free college and student loan forgiveness are particularly popular among young voters.
