MoviePass Makes Another Big Change

MoviePass will no longer be offering annual subscriptions. Instead, members will have the option to either have a monthly subscription or completely cancel their account. MoviePass used to allow people to see one movie a day, but will only be allowed to see three movies a month if they switch to a monthly subscription. Also, you won’t believe this: major box office hits will no longer be available to those who have a MoviePass.

As someone who used to work at a movie theater, I knew how frustrating it was to handle MoviePass customers. There used to be issues going on that I had no idea how to fix because I was not familiar with MoviePass, which wasn’t very helpful to the disappointed customers. I’ve also heard news about many things changing with the company, such as encouraging moviegoers to see a big-hit movie but had it blocked in most theaters for their users.

I’ve dealt with these customers and their frustrations at my former job. Based on all that’s happening, I’m wondering how much longer MoviePass will be a thing.
