What comes after March Madness, April Angst?
We’re down to the Final Four in the men’s NCAA Tournament (and the women’s as well). This is where our recommended viewing begins. This is where the heiner meets the recliner.
Saturday’s doubleheader from Minneapolis begins at 6:09 p.m. ET with No. 5 seed Auburn (30-9) playing No. 1 Virginia (33-3). The second game, at 8:49 p.m. and also on CBS, matches No. 3 Texas Tech against No. 2 Michigan State (32-6).
Michigan State beat the overall No. 1 seed Duke by a point to reach the Final Four; two of Virginia’s three defeats came at Duke’s hands. Significance? Who knows?
The championship game is set for Monday night – just an advance tip (as if you and your busted bracket didn’t know). That will be at 9 p.m. on CBS.
The women’s Final Four tips off your viewing weekend on Friday night. No. 2 seed Oregon (33-4) meets No. 1 Baylor (35-1) at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. Following that is No. 2 Connecticut (35-2) vs. No. 1 Notre Dame at 9 p.m., also on the deuce. The championship game is Sunday at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
The final round of the PGA Tour’s Valero Open can be seen on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on CBS. NASCAR’s Food City 500 on Sunday from Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee comes to you at 2 p.m. on FS1.
May all your jump shots hit nothing but net.
