Ashley Wagner is Not Impressed

U.S. figure skater Ashley Wagner’s smile turned to a look of shock and disgust following a low score at the Sochi, Olympics.

Ashley most definitely pulled a Mckayla Maroney, who’s “Not Impressed” face went viral after the gymnast competed in the 2014 Summer Olympic Games.

Of course when the stakes are so high and nerves so tense, it’s hard for the athletes not to wear their heats on their sleeves, especially when they expect to do well.

What Caused the Sour Face?

Ashley Wagner had just finished her routine in the Women’s Short Program, which she felt to be a solid performance on the ice. Ashley seemed obviously excited while awaiting for judging to complete, in anticipation of what she expected to be a high score for both her and Team USA.

Unfortunately, Ashley was left in shock by low scores from the judges, she received a 32.16 technical score and and 30.94 component score.

Wagner was quoted after making the now viral stink face saying “…I know where the scores should be when I skate very well so I’ll just have to take a look at the protocols. “
