The Snapchat Brigade
Snapchat is great right, you send snaps, take pictures, do whatever you want, guilt free, and its gone forever you’re in the clear. Except in the UK that is.
Police forces are joining together to crack down on crime and they are doing so through Snapchat. They have created an account under the username westmidspolice.
The police group posts my story feeds every 24 hours to keep residents in the loop. According to a WMP spokesperson, “Part of this work is about connecting with younger people, we want them to have the confidence to give us a call when they really need our help.”
That’s what 911 is for but police believe they are heading in the right direction with using social media such as Snapchat. Would you use Snapchat to report a crime or use 911 instead?
